Hey guys, here's another prayer request. A friend of ours moved to china about 2 years ago and their oldest son just died about a week ago. Please pray for the family because I am sure that they are going through some tough times. Also pray that their oldest son was a christian. It's unsure if he was.

Well guys, last Saturday was my last rugby match of the season. In the first five minutes of the game we moved the ball inside their 22, and they had a penalty, Henry, our scrum half, chose me to run it in, because I run hard.
For those of you that don't play, or know, rugby, the other team lines up on the goal line, our team lines up on about the 10 meter line, since I was running it in, I start sprinting, catch the ball, and run and hit the other team as hard as I can trying to push through to the try zone...
I caught the ball, lowered my shoulders, and ran towards two guys, they both hit my stomach, and I just about pushed through them, but a guy from my right came rushing in, and hit the inside of my left knee with his head. I spent the rest of the half (another 35 minutes of rugby) limping around the field, still playing my hardest.
Sunday I woke up and the swelling had not gone down at all, I went to the doctor, and they took some x-rays. Now I have to see an orthopedic surgeon, the doctors think I tore my meniscus. I'm wearing a leg brace and am on crutches. It's not a great way to be when you have to walk to and from classes, and the cafeteria.
If you guys could keep me in your prayers as I heal, and also pray that when I meet with the orthopedist, that I don't need surgery or anything like that. Thank you in advance for your prayers,
Daniel

WOW you play real rugby, dang man, thats brave to begin with. If you guys dont know,, rugby is kinda like foot ball, without the pads. Instead of pads, guys get really riped, so that when they hit eachother, their HARD musles protect them (for the most part) but it way more painful than football (American). Ehud, I play "touch" Less painfull (and without the gound kicks) My friend, Ben, is a really good player, he is a New Zlander that is here @ my school. Well, heal fast, God speed. Norty

thanks for your prayers guys, the swelling has gone down, although I'm still on crutches and wearing a brace, and at least it was the last match of the season, I have 3 months to heal before next match!

Well that's good that the swelling went down. I have one question for you..... did you win the match that you hurt your leg in?

the try that I tried to put in got thrown out to the backs (I didn't lose possession of the ball) and they scored it, we ended up winning 21 - 0, it was 14 - 0 when I left the game at half.

I'll remember to pray for you. And atleast you won the game. Wouldn't it be frustrating if you severely hurt yourself, all for nothing? I'd have to say, atleast you hurt yourself for something and not nothing!

Hey could you guys pray for my 2 grandpas (one dad's dad, and one mom's dad) they both just had throat cancer, and had done radiation. The radiation has really screwed up their bodies, like their immune system and stuff don't work. Tom Hood and Peter McCosker are their names.
